The new farm bill might prevent new cuts from hitting Ohio, but it did nothing to restore recent cuts that already are hurting hard-pressed Ohioans, said Jack Frech, director of the Job and Family Services department in Athens.

Open interviews to be held at The Work Station on Dec. 11
Elite Craft Support Staffing will
be holding open interviews from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at
The Work Station in The Plains.
The staffing agency is looking for area residents interested in filling positions such as welders, assemblers and electricians in the Marietta area. Most positions are for second or third shifts and pay between $11 and $15 per hour.
No appointments are needed for the open interviews. Area residents are just asked to bring copies of their resumes with them and to dress appropriately.
