1.75 million Ohioans now living in poverty

New figures from the U.S. Census Bureau show that more than 1.75 million people in Ohio are now living in poverty. The Census figures also show that the number of people living in poverty in Ohio increased significantly from 2008 to 2009. Currently, 15.2% of all people in the state live below the poverty line. Poverty is a crisis in Ohio and in America, and it is time for our political leaders to take action to help these families in need.
