Ohio Benefit Bank to offer free tax assistance program at The Work Station

Volunteers from the Ohio Benefit Bank will be available at The Work Station in The Plains again this year to help area residents with annual incomes of less than $60,000 file their basic tax returns.
A limited number of appointments will be available during tax season, and area residents must call 740-677-4278 on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in order to make an appointment. The person scheduling the appointments will only be available during those hours. No appointments will be scheduled at other times during the week.

In addition, The Work Station will not be taking walk-in appointments and is not currently planning to hold any evening or weekend appointments this year.
This service is offered for free and allows area residents to prepare and file their income taxes with the assistance of a trained volunteer.
While the program is ready to assist clients with their taxes, additional volunteers are needed. Any area residents who would like to help out with this important program should call  740-624-1495.
The Ohio Benefit Bank also offers an online service for area residents who would like to file their basic income tax returns on their own. This online assistance program can be found by clicking here.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 740-677-4278 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Mondays or Wednesdays, beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
