Special event to raise money for Friends and Neighbors food pantry

A special event featuring bands, great food, a costume contest, a haunted hayride and other activities will be held this Saturday near Coolville in order to raise money for the Friends and Neighbors Community Choice Food Center.
The event is being held to raise money for the center’s new food pantry facility, and will be held at the location of the new center.

The Friends and Neighbors Community Choice Food Center is currently located in Lottridge but is planning to move to a new, permanent location near Coolville. The new facility is located near the Dixon Road exit off of U.S. Rt. 50/Ohio Rt. 32 near Coolville, and the fundraiser will take place there from noon until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Eight bands are donating their time to be at the fundraiser on Saturday and will perform a wide variety of music. The activities throughout the day will include a chili cook-off, a pie baking contest, a costume contest, kids games and a haunted hayride.
All area residents are invited to attend and help raise money for the Friends and Neighbors Community Choice Food Center.
