The Friends and Neighbors Community
Choice Food Pantry will hold a Grand Opening luncheon on Friday, June 21 in
order to celebrate the pantry’s move to a new location. The lunch will be held
from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and all area residents are invited.
The food pantry moved from its
previous facility in Lottridge to the new home just off of U.S. Rt. 50/Ohio 32
near Coolville earlier this year. All of the pantry’s programs are now based
out of the new facility.
The new mailing address is 24576
Parkersburg Road, Coolville, Ohio 45732. Drivers on U.S. Rt. 50/Ohio Rt. 32
traveling in the direction from Athens to Coolville will see the new pantry on
their left just before they get to Coolville.
The new facility is now open from
10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Friends and Neighbors provides
free lunches, food boxes, free clothing and other services to area residents.
The move to the new facility was
made in order to allow the pantry to better meet the needs of area residents,
and all area residents are invited to stop in and see the new pantry location
during the Friday, June 21 Grand Opening.
The pantry always welcomes
donations of food and items for families. Monetary donations are also
appreciated. Friends and Neighbors is also now looking for donations of medical
supplies.
